Install and configure a VPN client to use with your OpenVPN Access Server andД¬onnect to your DB System.

For more information, see Creating an OpenVPN Connection. This requires configuring static IP addresses, routing instead of NAT, and creating and configuring a VPN user.

Configure the OpenVPN Access Server to route traffic to your DB System.

This consists of a Compute instance running the Access Server attached to the same VCN your MySQL DB System is attached to, and the network configuration required for external connections to the Access Server. To configure a network to enable communication between your local network or aД¬ompute and your DB System, you must configure your VCN's subnets with Security rules. Create a VPN connection, bridging your local network with your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure VCN.

Create a Bastion Session, enabling SSH access from your local network to your DB System.

For more information on creating a Compute instance, see Creating a Compute Instance. I mean removed from OS startup if itвЂ™s a service running at boot. My Cloud->Settings ->General ->Cloud Access-> Remote Access - Set slider to OFF. Use SSH or RDP, depending on your platform, to connect to the Compute instance and, from there, to interact with your DB System. Create a Compute instance from which to connect to your DB System.

My VM has an IP 10.0.0.4, therefore the OpenVPN server config contains an entry listen 10.0.0.4. I suspect the problem is related to how virtual networks are configured on the Oracle Cloud.
